The Story Behind a Non-Toxic, Pet-Friendly Luxury Candle Brand | Austin, Texas
House of Wick was born from a quiet pull toward slower living and more intentional spaces.
As someone who has always found comfort in candlelight, I spent years lighting candles to soften my home. But over time, I noticed how rushed and impersonal most candles felt. Mass-produced, overly scented, made quickly, and disconnected from the spaces they were meant to live in.
I wanted something different.
Something calmer. Thoughtful. Made with care.
House of Wick began at home, in small moments between everyday life. Late evenings pouring wax, testing temperatures, trimming wicks, and learning patience through repetition. What started as curiosity slowly became a ritual, and that ritual became a purpose, to create non-toxic luxury candles that feel grounding, beautiful, and intentional.
Each candle is hand poured in small batches in Austin, Texas. From sculptural statement pieces to everyday jar candles, every detail is considered. We use clean-burning wax and thoughtfully sourced, phthalate-free fragrances, making our candles safe for homes shared with pets and children.
Nothing here is rushed. Every step matters, from scent balance to finish, from form to function.
These are not candles made just to be burned.
They are made to anchor moments.
