Wooden Wick vs Cotton Wick: What Changes?
Traditional candles use cotton wicks. Our jar candles use a thin strip of natural wood designed to create a wider, more even flame.
That wider flame helps melt the wax evenly across the surface of the jar. When paired with our clean burning Coconut Apricot wax blends, the result is a smooth melt pool and a consistent scent throw from edge to edge.
It is a small structural difference that creates a noticeably elevated burn.
A Cleaner, More Refined Burn
When properly trimmed, wooden wicks produce very little soot. Less soot means cleaner air and a purer fragrance experience in your space.
At House of Wick, our jar candles are hand poured in small batches using clean wax blends and phthalate free fragrance oils. No paraffin blends. No unnecessary additives. Just intentional ingredients chosen for performance and comfort.
